About Globe Explorer 3D
Globe Explorer 3D puts a whole Earth under your finger. Drag to spin it any way you like, and North up turns it back the right way. Each trip asks six questions: find a continent, an ocean, the North or South Pole, the equator, or the Northern or Southern Hemisphere. Later trips use clues instead of names, like where kangaroos live or the frozen ocean around the North Pole.
Every place you find the first time stamps your passport: seven continents, five oceans, both poles and the equator. Explore freely lets you tap anywhere to see what is there and its latitude and longitude, the two numbers that give every place on Earth an address. The How 3D works page explains why a globe shows the true shapes and sizes that flat maps stretch.
With red-green, red-blue or red-cyan 3D glasses the globe really bulges out of the screen like a ball; it plays in colour without them too. The continent outlines are the same as in Continent Quest, and a checking script makes sure that tapping always lands on the exact spot under your finger and that every question can be answered.
