About Cube Architect 3D
Cube Architect 3D trains spatial reasoning, the skill of turning flat drawings into a 3D shape in your head. Architects and engineers draw a building from the front, from the side and from the top; your job is to build the tower that matches. Tap a square on the ground or the top of a tower to add a cube, switch to Remove to take one off, and drag (or tap Turn) to walk round your building.
The first world is Copy the ghost: a see-through ghost shows exactly where the cubes go. Then the ghost disappears and you only get the three drawings, which turn green as your building matches each one. Many buildings can match the same drawings, so the challenge is to use the fewest cubes: a cube that none of the three drawings can see is wasted. The game works out the fewest possible for every level, and a checking script tries every possible building to prove it.
With red-green 3D glasses the towers stand up out of the screen, because the site is drawn twice from two eyes a little apart. It plays in colour without glasses. There are 15 levels in 3 worlds up to 4 by 4 squares and 4 cubes tall, and coins buy new cube colours. The How 3D works page explains why the drawings have no depth at all, and what engineers call them.
