Do you have 3D glasses? Red-green, red-blue and red-cyan glasses all work.
You can change this any time from the menu.

How deep?

Less depth is easier on the eyes. More depth pops out more.

1. Hide the green bar

Put the glasses on and cover the eye behind the green lens, so you look only through the red lens. Slide left until the green bar disappears.

2. Hide the red bar

Now cover the eye behind the red lens, so you look only through the green lens. Slide left until the red bar disappears.
3D mode is just a fun way to play. If your eyes feel tired, take a break or play without glasses.

HOW TO PLAY

  1. Tap a square on the ground (or the top of a tower) to put a cube there. Switch to ➖ Remove and tap a tower to take its top cube away. Drag sideways or tap 🔄 to walk round the building.
  2. Copy levels: a see-through ghost shows the building. Fill every ghost cube. Each cube put where the ghost is not counts as a mistake.
  3. Drawing levels: there is no ghost, only three drawings. FRONT is what you see from the front, RIGHT SIDE from the right, and TOP from above (the front is at the bottom). A drawing turns green when your building matches it.
  4. Make all three drawings match to finish. Many buildings can match! Use the fewest cubes for ⭐⭐⭐: hidden cubes the drawings cannot see are wasted.
  5. Coins buy new cube colours.

HOW 3D WORKS

  1. Try this: hold a pen in front of you and look at it with one eye, then the other. It jumps from side to side. Each eye sees a slightly different picture.
  2. Your brain uses the difference to feel depth. It is called stereo vision. Cube Architect draws the building twice, in red and in green, from two eyes a little apart, and the glasses give each eye its own picture.
  3. The FRONT, SIDE and TOP drawings are the opposite: they have no depth at all. Each one squashes the building flat from one direction. Engineers call them orthographic views, and they have used them to plan buildings, cars and machines for hundreds of years.
  4. Your brain is doing something clever when it turns three flat drawings back into one 3D building in your head. That skill is called spatial reasoning, and it gets better with practice.
