About Type Race
Type Race turns typing practice into a car race. After a count of three, type the sentence shown: the yellow letter is the next key to press, and every right key moves your car towards the flag. A wrong key turns red and does not move you, so careful typing wins races. Three robot racers drive in the other lanes.
The robots learn your speed and race just a little slower and a little faster than you, so every race is close whether you type 8 words a minute or 60. Easy sentences use small words with no capitals, Medium sentences have capitals and full stops, and Hard sentences are longer, with commas and numbers, and many of them are fun facts.
After each race you see your words per minute and your accuracy. Winning and typing carefully earn coins to buy new cars, from a taxi and a fire truck to a rocket and a flying saucer, and every three wins moves you up a league, from Rookie to Champion.
