About Tangram
The tangram is a puzzle from China, about 200 years old. Seven flat shapes (two big triangles, a middle triangle, two small triangles, a square and a parallelogram) can make thousands of pictures. Turning shapes in your head and seeing how they fit together is a real maths skill called spatial reasoning.
Drag a shape to move it and tap it to turn it a quarter turn. The purple parallelogram can also flip over. Fill the dark picture with all seven shapes, with no overlaps. The Shapes world shows helper lines and pulls shapes into place when they are close; the Animals and Things worlds have no lines and the shapes start turned the wrong way.
Finish a puzzle without hints for three stars. Stars open the Animals and Things worlds and new colour sets for your shapes, and Free build lets you make anything you like.
