About Story Scribe
Story Scribe is a typing game about writing real sentences, not just single words. Each story is five short sentences. You type each one exactly as written: the letter you are on is highlighted, a wrong letter turns red so you can press backspace and fix it, and when the sentence is right its picture pops into the scene above. Finished stories are kept on your bookshelf to read again.
Eight stories each practise one skill: capital letters and full stops, longer words, question marks, commas, quotes around speech, apostrophes (Sam's hat, it's sunny), numbers, and finally everything together. A tip under each sentence points out what to watch for, such as a comma or a question mark. Accuracy decides the stars (97% right first time earns three), and the end screen shows your speed in words a minute.
It works with a computer keyboard or the keyboard on a phone or tablet; curly quotes that phone keyboards type are accepted as the same key. A checking script makes sure every sentence starts with a capital, ends with proper punctuation, has no stray spaces and really practises the story's skill.
