About Sevens
Sevens is a classic family card game, sometimes called card dominoes. All 52 cards are dealt to four players and the 7 of diamonds starts. On each turn you either play a 7 to start a new suit row, or add a card one higher or one lower than the end of a row in the same suit. If you cannot play, you knock and miss your turn, and the first player to empty their hand wins.
It is easy to learn but has real strategy: playing the 8 of spades when you hold no other high spades only opens the way for your opponents, while playing a card that leads to more of your own cards helps you. The tip button suggests a good card and explains why, so children learn to think a move ahead.
Eight tournaments bring tougher robot players, from beginners who play any card to clever players who hold back their 7s and avoid helping others. Simulations were used to make the early tournaments friendly and the later ones a fair challenge. Win for three stars, come second for two, and come first or second to unlock the next tournament.
