About Rummy Rumble
Rummy Rumble is a friendly version of 7-card rummy, one of the classic card games. Each turn you draw a card, from the draw pile or the top of the discard pile, and then throw one away, so you always hold seven. The aim is to arrange all seven into groups: sets of three or four cards with the same number, and runs of three or more cards in a row of the same suit. When your whole hand is in groups, you call Rummy and win the round.
To help younger players, every card that is already part of a group glows green, and the hand can be sorted by number or by suit to spot runs. Five robot opponents get smarter one by one: Pip and Bolt throw away good cards, Zip and Nova know their sets and runs, and Max even watches which cards you pick up so it doesn't hand you what you need. Matches are best of three rounds; winning in fewer turns earns more stars, and stars unlock new card backs.
Rummy teaches pattern spotting and planning ahead: keep pairs and cards close together in the same suit, and throw away lonely high cards. A checking script plays thousands of robot rounds to make sure each harder robot really is harder, and tests that hands like 7♠ 7♥ 7♦ with 5♣ 6♣ 7♣ 8♣ count as Rummy (the 7♣ fits the run).
