About Pocket Money Jars
Pocket Money Jars teaches the spend, save and share habit that many families use with real jars. Each week your pocket money arrives and you tap the jars to share it out: Spend for treats now, Save for a big goal, and Share to help others. Treats in the shop, like ice cream, stickers or a comic, cost money from the Spend jar and add to your fun.
Along the way you learn the difference between needs and wants: sometimes you need new shoe laces or a lunch box, and needs must be paid, even if that means dipping into your savings. Share days let you give to a food bank or an animal shelter for kindness hearts. Later goals bring a bonus bank that adds 10% to your savings every four weeks, chores that earn extra money, and sale traps with stickers like 50% off that tempt you to raid your savings.
There are eight goals, from a kite to a toy drone. Buying your goal in time earns a star, and having enough fun and kindness on the way earns more. Saving every coin reaches the goal but only gets one star, and spending everything never gets there, so balance wins. Everything you save up for goes on a shelf in the menu. It uses pretend money.
