About Pet Snack Check
Pet Snack Check teaches children which people foods are safe for pets and which are dangerous. A dog, cat or rabbit looks hopefully at a snack, and you decide: OK to share, or never? Every answer comes with the reason, such as chocolate being poisonous to dogs, grapes and raisins harming their kidneys, and many sugar-free sweets containing xylitol, which is very dangerous for dogs.
The same food can be fine for one pet and wrong for another, so the lessons move from dogs to cats to rabbits and then mix them up. Cats learn about onions, garlic and poisonous flowers like lilies and tulips; rabbits learn that hay should be most of their food and that carrots are only a small treat. Safe treats come with their small print, like apple slices with no core or seeds, and cooked meat with no bones.
Later lessons add a timer, so you have to remember the facts quickly. Every food you learn about becomes a fact card in your collection. The menu reminds families to ask a grown-up before sharing any food with a pet, and to call a vet straight away if a pet eats something dangerous. It builds real-world knowledge that keeps pets safe.
