About Perspective Painter
Perspective Painter teaches one-point perspective, the drawing trick Italian painters worked out about 600 years ago to make flat pictures look deep. The first rule is that things far away look smaller and their bottoms sit higher up the picture, closer to the horizon line where the land meets the sky.
Lessons ask you to choose the tree, person or house drawn at the right size for where it stands, to spot the giant or the tiny one that breaks the rule, to tap the vanishing point where the edges of a road meet on the horizon, and to pick the next fence post, which must be smaller and closer to the last one as the fence goes away.
Painter's tips explain each rule, and the vanishing-point tip draws the road edges on until they cross. After lesson four the free studio lets you drag a tree, a person and a house along a road and watch them grow and shrink, and move the horizon up and down. Lessons with two stars add paintings to your gallery.
