About Museum Night
Museum Night puts you in charge of the museum after dark. New treasures have arrived and each one needs to go to the right gallery before the doors open. An artifact appears with a clue about how people used it, like jars that held the insides of a mummy, silver coins with an owl on them, or a dragon-headed ship that sailed to raid and trade. Tap the gallery where it belongs.
There are seven galleries, each with its rough dates: Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, the Vikings, Ancient China, the Maya and the Middle Ages. The clues never say the gallery's name, so you have to think about what you know: the Nile, Olympic olive crowns, gladiators, Thor's hammer, the first compass, a shell-shaped zero, or knights jousting. After two wrong tries, the right gallery glows so nobody gets stuck.
Each night opens a new gallery, and on the last night the clues stay hidden until you answer. Artifacts you get right first time join your collection, shown in the menu with a space for every one of the 42 treasures. Get a whole night right for three stars. It builds knowledge of world history and careful reading.
