About Movie Music Maker
Movie Music Maker teaches how music shows feelings. Each movie scene needs the right soundtrack: a cheetah racing needs fast music, a lullaby needs soft, slow music, an elephant sounds low and little birds sound high. You set the dials, press play to hear the tune change, and show the director, who says which dial is not right yet.
Lesson by lesson you learn the real music words: tempo for speed, dynamics for loud and soft (forte and piano), pitch for high and low, major keys that sound happy and minor keys that sound sad or spooky, and crescendo and diminuendo for music that grows louder as a train comes closer or fades as a rocket flies away.
Listening rounds hide the dials: hear two or three clips and choose the one that fits the scene. Earning stars unlocks new instruments, bells, brass and strings, and after lesson four the free studio lets you make any music you like for 42 scenes. The tunes are made live in the browser, so every scene sounds a little different.
