About Melody Mountains
Melody Mountains turns ear training into a hike. A short tune plays, and each answer card shows a mountain path with a dot for every note: higher notes sit higher on the mountain. Pick the path the tune follows. You can press the big play button as often as you like, and the right path lights up green and plays again so you can hear the match.
The first trails only ask whether the melody goes up or down, with two or three notes. Later trails add repeated notes that stay the same, longer tunes and more paths to choose from. Rocky Ridge and Glacier are trickier: every path goes the same way, so you have to hear whether the tune takes small steps or big leaps. On the Summit, only one note is different between the paths.
Each trail has eight tunes, and getting them all right first time earns three stars. Stars unlock new instruments to play the tunes, from piano and saxophone to trumpet, music box, robot and bells. It builds pitch hearing, which helps with singing in tune, playing by ear and reading music.
