About Market Memory
Market Memory trains working memory with something children do in real life: shopping. A list appears, for example an apple, bread and milk. When you are ready, the list hides and the market shelves appear, and you tap everything that was on the list to put it in your basket. Press Pay to check: anything forgotten, anything extra and any wrong amount is pointed out, item by item.
Eight market days get harder step by step. Lists grow from three items to seven, the shelves get fuller, and the decoys come from the same food groups as the list, so if you need strawberries there will be cherries and peaches too. Counting days add amounts, such as 3 eggs and 2 apples, so you remember how many as well as what. If you get stuck you can peek at the list, but it costs a star.
The game suggests real memory tricks: say the list out loud, group the items, or make a silly story with them. No mistakes and no peeking earns three stars, and stars open new stalls at your own market, from a fruit stall to a carousel. A checking script makes sure every list item is on the shelf and that mistakes are counted fairly.
