About Gravity Slingshot
Gravity Slingshot is a space physics game. Your rocket sits on a launch pad, and somewhere out in space is a planet with a flag. Pull back on the screen like a slingshot to choose the direction and power, fine-tune with the arrow and plus/minus buttons, and launch. Every planet pulls on the rocket, more strongly the closer you fly and the bigger the planet, so the rocket travels in a curve, just like real spacecraft.
The four worlds teach real ideas from spaceflight. In Moon Hop you see gravity bend your path. In Slingshot a big planet blocks the way, so you swing around it and let its gravity throw you onto the target, the gravity assist that real space probes use. In Moving Moons the target goes round its planet, so you have to time your launch. In the Asteroid Belt there are rocks and several planets, and the aiming line gets shorter, so you have to think like a mission planner.
Every level was made and tested by a robot that tried thousands of launches: each one has a landing that still works when your aim is a little off, and three stars along a path you can really fly. Stars become coins for upgrades in the hangar (a longer aiming line, a shield and a booster) and new rockets. A hint shows a launch that works but costs a star.
