About Germ Buster 3D
Germ Buster 3D teaches children to wash their hands properly. Cartoon germs with googly eyes sit on a big 3D hand. Tap the steps in the right order: wet your hands, put on soap, then rub your finger back and forth over the germs until they pop in a cloud of foam. When the hand is clean, rinse and dry. Try to rinse too early and the game reminds you that germs are still there.
Six missions follow real moments when hands need washing: after playing outside, before lunch, after the toilet, after sneezing, after gardening and after stroking the dog. Each adds the places people often miss: the backs of the hands (turn the hand over), between the fingers, the thumbs, under the nails and the wrists. A bar counts your scrubbing time towards the 20 seconds doctors recommend, about as long as singing Happy Birthday twice. Stars come from cleaning every germ, scrubbing for 20 seconds and doing the steps in order; stars unlock new soaps.
With red-green, red-blue or red-cyan 3D glasses the hand floats in front of the screen; the germs are drawn dark so they stand out with the glasses on. It plays in colour without them. A checking script makes sure every germ can be reached and every mission includes the places it is about.
