HOW TO PLAY

  1. Music has a steady beat, like a clock ticking. Each bar here has 4 beats.
  2. Crotchet (a filled note with a stem) lasts 1 beat: say β€œta”. Quavers (two notes joined by a beam) are two half-beats: β€œti-ti”. A minim (hollow note) lasts 2 beats: β€œtoo-oo”. A semibreve (hollow, no stem) lasts all 4. A rest (the squiggle) means silence for 1 beat: β€œshh”.
  3. Tap πŸ‘‚ Listen to hear the rhythm. Then tap β–Ά Play it!: you hear 4 count-in clicks, then tap the πŸ₯ on every note. Don't tap on rests!
  4. Each note is marked Perfect (green), Good (yellow) or Miss (red). You can also use the space bar.
  5. Each lesson has 3 rhythms. 90% gets ⭐⭐⭐, 75% gets ⭐⭐, 50% to pass. Stars unlock new drums.

GREAT RHYTHM!
