Crystal Caves 3D
Tap โฌ†๏ธ to walk down a tunnel. Tap โฌ…๏ธ or โžก๏ธ to turn.

Do you have 3D glasses? Red-green, red-blue and red-cyan glasses all work.
You can change this any time from the menu.

Check the 3D

How deep?

Less depth is easier on the eyes. More depth pops out more.

1. Hide the green bar

Put the glasses on and cover the eye behind the green lens, so you look only through the red lens. Slide left until the green bar disappears.

2. Hide the red bar

Now cover the eye behind the red lens, so you look only through the green lens. Slide left until the red bar disappears.
3D mode is just a fun way to play. If your eyes feel tired, take a break or play without glasses.

HOW TO PLAY

  1. Easy buttons (the usual way): tap โฌ†๏ธ WALK and you walk down the tunnel until you reach a place where you can turn. Tap โฌ…๏ธ or โžก๏ธ to turn a quarter, or โ†ฉ๏ธ to turn right around. Hold โฌ†๏ธ to keep walking. On a computer, use the arrow keys.
  2. Free walking (switch in the menu): hold your finger on the cave and slide it like a joystick: up to walk, sideways to turn.
  3. Collect the ๐Ÿ’Ž crystals hidden in the cave. Many are at dead ends, so explore!
  4. When you have every crystal, the door opens: walk into it to get out. Get out fast for โญโญโญ.
  5. Spend crystals on your Explorer kit: a brighter ๐Ÿ”ฆ torch to see further, a ๐Ÿงญ compass that points to the door, a ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ map that draws itself as you explore, and ๐Ÿ‘ข fast boots.
  6. Explorer's trick: keep one hand on the wall! Follow the same wall all the time and you will never get lost in a cave without loops.

HOW 3D WORKS

  1. Try this: put your two pointing fingers out in front of you and try to make the tips touch with one eye shut. Now try with both eyes open. Much easier!
  2. Your eyes are about 6 cm apart, so each sees the world a little differently. Your brain uses the difference to judge distance. This is called stereo vision.
  3. Crystal Caves draws the cave twice, once for each eye, from two places a little apart: one picture in red and one in green. Each lens of the glasses hides one picture.
  4. The cave also uses the other clues your brain knows: far walls look smaller and darker, and the floor tiles get closer together further away. Painters call this perspective.
