HOW TO PLAY

1. You play white and it is your move. Tap a white piece, then tap where it should go.
2. Checkmate means the black king is attacked and has no way out: it cannot move to a safe square, nothing can block, and nothing can take the attacker.
3. Mate in 1: find the one move that checkmates right away.
4. Mate in 2: make a move, the computer replies with its best defence, then you checkmate. Your first move does not have to be a check!
5. Look at every check, every capture and every square around the black king. A 💡 hint shows which piece to move, but costs a star, and so does a wrong move.
