About Blink and Type
Blink and Type mixes typing practice with memory and spelling. A word appears in the box while a brown bar runs down, and you can't type yet: just look and remember. Then the owl slides down to cover it, and you type the word from memory and press Enter or Done.
Spelling counts, but capital letters don't, so the challenge is remembering every letter and space. If you make a mistake, the right spelling appears with the wrong or missing letters coloured in, which makes it easy to see what to remember next time. Each level has ten words, nine right earns three stars, and five right passes.
The eight levels grow from little words like cat and frog to bigger words, long words, two-word pairs, super words like penguin and volcano, tiny phrases, tricky double letters such as balloon and yellow, and whole short sentences. Stars win hats for the owl, from a top hat to a crown. It trains working memory, spelling and keyboard confidence together.
