About Balance Scale
Balance Scale is a maths game about one big idea: when both sides weigh the same, the scale is level. First, add weights to the empty side until it balances. Then a mystery box appears, and you work out what number is inside.
Twin Boxes have two or three boxes that weigh the same, so you share the weight between them. Animal Puzzles chain the clues together: if two cats weigh 6, and a cat and a dog weigh 10, how heavy is the dog? This is exactly how algebra works, without any letters.
Every wrong guess tips the scale and tells you whether to go higher or lower, and the hint shows how to take the same amount off both sides. Each level adds an animal sticker to your book. Your progress is saved on this device.
